Photos of the demonstration led by the NunatuKavut Community Council. The demonstration took place on the Trans Labrador Highway, on the intersection of the Labrador west/south coast highways. Demonstrators proceeded to MP Peter Penashue’s office in Happy Valley-Goose Bay where they met with other demonstrators.

NCC lead a demonstration on the Trans Labrador Highway, on the intersection of the Labrador west/south coast highways. People of all walks of life came out to stand in solidarity for the Idle No More movement. Traffic on the highway was slowed between 6:00 am and 12:30 pm as demonstrators stopped vehicles, gave hand-outs, and explained their cause and concerns. The demonstration was peaceful and friendly, with some participants bringing fish and brewis, ptarmigan soup, tea biscuits, tea and coffee to share. Demonstrators proceeded to MP Peter Penashue’s office in Happy Valley-Goose Bay where they met with other demonstrators.
